(Woman scratches her head, wondering.)

Questions we ask ourselves to feel we can drive with confidence

(Woman shrugs and raises a hand in a gesture of cluelessness.)

Question #364

(One vehicle collides with another ahead. Sound of impact.)

Does the deductible apply when I file a collision claim?

(Woman in her vehicle.)

In Quebec, a motorist who isn’t at fault for an accidence is compensated by their insurer without having to pay a deductible.

(Man in his car. He’s blushing.)

The person who is responsible is compensated if the collision coverage is included in their policy.

They must then pay the deductible specified in their contract.

(A CAA-Quebec advisor and a Groupement des assureurs automobiles advisor surround the woman and man involved in the accident.)
