Question #333

(Young woman at the wheel of a car, grandfather in the passenger seat.)

As a grandparent, you want your granddaughter, who’s learning to drive, to practise driving with your car.

What do you need to do about your insurance?

(Grandfather talks on his phone with the insurance company. Imitation of his voice, no words understandable. Granddaughter’s learner’s licence appears.)

The grandparent must notify their insurer that their granddaughter will be driving the vehicle.

(CAA-Quebec advisor on the phone. Imitation of his voice, no words understandable. Green frame appears around granddaughter’s learner’s licence.)

The insurer will be able to adjust the policy accordingly and everyone will be adequately protected in case of an accident.

(A CAA-Quebec advisor and a Groupement des assureurs automobiles advisor surround the grandfather.)
