Temperature and humidity: How to keep your home comfortable

The normal comfort zone is between 20° and 22°C, or up to 24°C for seniors. 

Relative humidity (RH) is best between 30% and 55%.

In the summer,

use an air conditioner or fans 

to lower the perceived temperature and dehumidify the air.

In the winter,

keep cold air from entering by improving your home’s insulation and plugging gaps. 

Set your thermostats between 20° and 22°C. 

Use a humidifier if the humidity is too low.
