7 tips for selling your property

(Text appearing on a series of images and animated sequences, such as a person signing a contract, taking notes or doing research on a computer.)

1. Choose your method of selling your home carefully:

Visibility, help with making the sale, tools, etc.

2. Set a realistic, competitive price

Compare your home to those recently sold in your neighbourhood and call a certified appraiser if necessary.

3. Market your home effectively

In your ad, list all the features of the property and make sure they’re visible! Use all the means at your disposal: Internet, open houses, etc.

4. Present your home in the best possible light

First impressions have a big impact on potential buyers.

5. Don’t hide anything

Mention any problems with your home. Fill out a detailed Seller’s Declaration for the buyers.

6. Educate yourself

Know your rights and obligations and familiarize yourself with the sales process.

7. Follow up

Regularly ask your real estate broker or direct sales service for an update on how things are going.
