An emphasis on collective well-being is in our DNA

You’ve probably noticed our safety patrollers in your neighbourhood school zone every morning, or heard about our advocacy for road sharing and sustainable mobility. But what’s clear is that improving road safety and reducing our mobility footprint form a fundamental part of our commitment to the well-being of the collective.

On the brink of its 119th year, CA A-Quebec is more motivated than ever to accelerate the transition to electric mobility. We’ve been studying the subject for more than a decade and, along with our more than 1.3 million members, we’re convinced we can make a positive impact, greater than the sum of individual gestures.

Take action and lead by example

Year in, year out, our employees recycle, carpool, participate in blood drives, collect food for Christmas baskets, donate thousands of dollars to Centraide, and consistently act to help make a difference. Did you know that we’ve been providing free roadside assistance to Operation Red Nose volunteers for nearly 30 years, that several CAA-Quebec Approved Home Suppliers participate annually in the Maison Enfant Soleil Project, and that last December, the CAA-Quebec Foundation donated 150 brand new child car seats to needy families?

These actions are evidence of our employees’ and partners’ dedication, mutual empathy and social awareness. Carrying out this engagement all across Quebec and knowing that people have trusted us for such a long time is, without a doubt, our basic and best motivation.

Pursuing the movement, one gesture at a time

We’re also aware of the sheer scope of the social and environmental challenges that lie in wait for us everywhere. While we were the first in Canada to put two mobile EV chargers into service for our members, our next goal will be to continue R&D efforts to find efficient non-polluting solutions for our roadside-assistance trucks. The recent acquisition of CAA-Quebec’s first fully electric light-duty service truck symbolizes our desire to strengthen and maintain our reputation as a positive agent of change. And we will continue to encourage responsible energy consumption.

It’s a long road to be sure, and it will never be perfect, but by believing in change and pooling our talents, we can continue to make a decisive contribution.
