Operation Red Nose Is Back, And CAA-Quebec Is Delighted!

Published on November 25, 2021

After a pandemic-induced hiatus, Operation Red Nose announced earlier this month the return of its Safe Ride Service. And for CAA, the return of this holiday classic means we’re back with our support for the campaign. CAA-Quebec is pleased to offer its Roadside Assistance service for free to Operation Red Nose volunteers and clients across the province.

Whether they are CAA-Quebec members or not, they will all have access to lockout, battery boost, assistance, tire inflation and other services It’s our way of contributing to the success of the 38th Operation Red Nose, from November 26 to December 31.

We’ve been a proud partner of Operation Red Nose for over 25 years. and share their vision and values: to educate the public about the risks of impaired driving and play an active role in improving road safety. Talk about a natural partnership!

There’s always an option!

We’re eagerly looking forward to the 2021–2022 holiday season. Office parties will be back soon—that’s right, after almost two years of working from home, we’ll realize that our colleagues actually have legs!—and so will Christmas celebrations at Grandpa Raymond’s (and the famous Lac Saint-Jean Tourtière), and New Year’s party at Aunt Huguette’s (featuring her classic potato doughnuts, yummy!). In other words, there will be plenty of opportunities to have a drink... or two!

But there’s no excuse for taking the wheel after drinking. Be prepared and have a plan B for getting home. There are plenty of alternatives, including Operation Red Nose, CAA-Quebec’s Safe Ride Service, calling a taxi, getting a ride with a designated driver, calling a friend or relative, or staying the night.

Getting home safely is your duty and responsibility— and the best way to ensure you have a safe and festive holiday season.
