Paying it forward
This is the story of Mr. Caron from Trois-Rivières. In mid-March he was on a cruise ship in South America with a CAA-Quebec Travel group when emergency arrangements had to be made to bring them home due to the pandemic.
The cruise did not end in Santiago as planned, but in San Diego 16 days later. The CAA-Quebec Travel guides followed most of the group back to Montreal, but Mr. Caron and five of his fellow passengers were routed to Quebec City or Ottawa instead. They had to spend an extra night on the ship, take a bus to Los Angeles, and stay overnight in Toronto before finally making it home.
But Mr. Caron is a seasoned traveller. He guided the group through the more complicated than planned return trip, and everything worked out.
As thanks, CAA-Quebec Travel offered him a $500 gift certificate, but he wanted to pay it forward to support a community organization.
As a result, Moisson Québec will receive a $500 donation in Mr. Caron’s name.
Your generosity does you credit, Mr. Caron. Thank you!
