Yes, motorcycling is allowed, but…

With the return of nice weather, many are wondering if riding a motorcycle is allowed. The answer is “yes,” but you must follow the COVID-19 public health guidelines.

Here is the official response from the Government of Quebec: “Yes, riding a motorcycle alone is allowed. However, the same travel guidelines apply, i.e., travel should be confined to trips for medical reasons and work when teleworking is not possible.”

Riding a motorcycle to do essential shopping, go to work, and get to a medical appointment is allowed. Going for drive in your car or riding a motorcycle for fun is not encouraged. The reason is simple: In our efforts to combat COVID-19, we should not leave home unless necessary.

Please note that gatherings are not permitted; riding in groups is therefore prohibited. Travel between certain regions is also prohibited.

If you won’t be using your motorcycle for several weeks, it is recommended that you keep it in storage to avoid paying too much in registration fees.
