CAA-Quebec Foundation and Operation Red Nose team up for road safety
As leaders in road safety, the CAA-Quebec Foundation and Operation Red Nose are thrilled to announce their new partnership as part of the Not My Ride awareness campaign. Created and delivered in high schools by the CAA-Quebec Foundation, this interactive workshop aims, among other things, to raise youth awareness about impaired driving due to alcohol, drugs, fatigue, and distractions.
A fitting partnership
By joining forces with Operation Red Nose, the CAA-Quebec Foundation gains a major partner to boost its Not My Ride awareness campaign, which is offered in high schools to students age 12 to 16. “Youth who attend the Not My Ride workshops will benefit fully from the expertise of the team of facilitators from CAA-Quebec Foundation and Operation Red Nose, two very active and well-known players in road safety prevention and awareness,” said Marco Harrison, Director of the CAA-Quebec Foundation.
Often associated with the holiday season Safe Ride Service campaign, Operation Red Nose continues its mission to raise awareness of the importance of responsible behaviour regarding impaired driving. “Operation Red Nose has launched many awareness campaigns since 1984, both within businesses and for students in various grades. Our partnership with the CAA-Quebec Foundation brings a fresh perspective, and we are very excited about working together to reach and educate even more youth,” said Anne-Marie Audet, Executive Director of Operation Red Nose. She added, “Impaired driving remains a major safety issue on the road and continued education efforts will help us make a real difference.” Quebec high schools are encouraged to visit the CAA-Quebec Foundation website for more information or to book a workshop at their school.
