COVID-19: CAA-Quebec suggests using car insurance premium credit to support local business
CAA-Quebec is pleased to announce that all the customer who have car insurance contract sold by CAA-Québec will receive a 20% credit on their premium for April and May and encourages them to pay it forward by shopping at a local business or making a donation to the CAA-Quebec Foundation.
Policyholders will automatically receive a premium credit or an equivalent refund without lifting a finger. CAA-Quebec and Prysm are also helping out by offering more flexible payment options, including premium deferral as needed.
All auto insurers have seen a significant reduction in the number of claims due to the pause in the economy and the lockdown measures. Crediting these amounts back to policyholders as quickly as possible seemed only natural. “CAA-Quebec understands that thousands of people are suffering the consequences of COVID-19 and is doing its part to help its members, customers, and the entire community get through it,” says Sophie Gagnon, Vice President, Communications and Public Affairs, CAA-Quebec, who reminds us that roadside assistance has never stopped answering members’ calls.

Another suggestion for paying it forward: donate to the CAA-Quebec Foundation, which organizes hundreds of road safety awareness activities each year, mainly for elementary and high school students and seniors.
