TripTik Travel Planner
For your road trip in Canada or the United States, your best travel companion is your personalized itinerary! You can create your own one by yourself, using the TripTik® Travel Planner online. It’s free and available to everyone!
What is the Travel Planner?
The TripTik® Travel Planner is a unique tool from AAA and CAA. It lets you design your own itineraries that you can use online or save as a PDF for offline use. You can even see real-time traffic and road construction along your route.
It also displays points of interest, including places with discounts for members as well as recommended CAA/AAA accommodations and restaurants (and their Diamond ratings). You’ll also find gas stations with prices—handy for picking a place to fill up the tank!
Good to know before using the TripTik® Travel Planner
If it opens in the wrong language, you can change it using the menu at the top left.
The planner doesn’t consider the type of vehicle. If you’re driving a recreational vehicle, carrying propane, towing something, or have a nonstandard-sized combination of vehicles, please refer to the RV travel section.
If you’re going through any national parks, check their opening dates. Parks and mountain roads are sometimes closed in winter. If you try to plot an itinerary through a national park when it’s closed, the planner may suggest an alternate route.
The TripTik® Travel Planner is a tool designed by AAA that CAA-Quebec makes available to its members and the general public. All directions can also be obtained in a printable PDF version.
These directions are provided solely as a guideline. No representation is made or warranty given as to their content or route practicability. See also Terms of Service.
